PRIOR LEARNING EXPERIENCE FEES
Prior Learning Experience (PLE) credits are available to adult students and are awarded at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs at the completion of the Prior Learning Experience Process. Adult HCU students may earn up to 30 credit-hours, constituting one academic year in a HCU undergraduate degree program, for prior learning experience.
Prior Learning Experience credits may be awarded to the student who has professional experience in the ministry or in business. Awarded academic credits are based on experience, life-long achievements, and years of professional service and training. Interested students should contact an Admissions Advisor to begin the process of applying for Prior Learning Experience credits. The PLE Worksheet/Application is available on the HCU website and the HCU Student Handbook. A $50.00 non-refundable fee is required for submission and assessment of the PLE Worksheet/Application. After the student has received approval and gone through the PLE Process, a $25.00 per credit-hour awarded fee ($75.00 per 3 credit course) will also be charged based upon the number of credits awarded to the student. See the HCU Student Handbook for more information.
