Harrison Christian University has chosen not to seek governmentally approved school accreditation offered by the U.S. Department of Education through a regional accrediting association because we believe we should not allow secular institutions to dictate the requirements for degree programs or instructors. As a Christian university, Harrison Christian University offers academic programs that are specifically designed to impart God’s Word and apply its wisdom to the lives of students and to assist them in developing ministerial and God-centered business careers.
Harrison Christian University is accredited by Transworld Accrediting Commission International (TACI) for the academic oversight that is expected from religious institutions of higher education. TACI sets accreditation standards, monitors compliance, and awards accreditation to organizations that meet those standards. Accreditation is awarded upon recommendation by the TACI Board of Commissioners and based upon accepted standards of performance in order to meet academic excellence and accountability.
The Transworld Accrediting Commission International is a professional, federally recognized, non-profit church educational organization whose philosophy is to demonstrate accountability to the consuming public for education obtained in non-traditional evangelical educational institutions. This accountability is demonstrated by institutions that are accredited by TACI, having documented evidence of compliance with TACI standards or structure and governance, material resources, policies, faculty, and curriculum.
The quality of instructors and professors at Harrison Christian University is determined based on their professional education, field of expertise, and experience which provides students with a God-centered academic experience.
