Each undergraduate course includes:
- 12 sessions of 50-60 minute video classes
- Each course includes a required textbook that can be easily accessed for download or purchase as a digital or hard copy. If a digital textbook is included, it can be accessed through the course page along with a course syllabus

First-Year Curriculum also requires the student to choose 2 elective courses from a wide-range of electives available from the College of Theology and the College of Business. Please consult with an Admissions Advisor for specific courses that may be available.
Effective Learning Strategies (HCUB 1002)
Course Description: Explore the fundamentals of creating personalized learning strategies. Examine learning styles and techniques while being oriented to the college experience. Insights gained will increase learning, retention, and application of information acquired throughout the college experience and beyond.
Introduction to Business (BUSN 1113)
Course Description: Explore a comprehensive survey of business and the opportunities and careers offered throughout the business world. From a biblical perspective, learn business principles, opportunities, and strategies provided by the various fields of business and how business relates to society and its individuals.
Technology Overview with Microsoft Office (BUSN 1213)
Course Description: Examine both the theory and application of computer applications in business, ministry, and personal use. Gain an understanding of Cloud-based applications offered by both Google, Microsoft and Dropbox. Learn the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote in real world applications. Gain an understanding of computers in all aspects of the global society including security issues.
Principles of Servant Leadership (MGMT 1113)
Explore and practice the foundational principles of servant leadership from a biblical perspective. Recognizing the cutting edge of leadership theory and approaches to leadership, students will gain an understanding of what is most effective in the long-term motivation of people, changing circumstances, and actualizing vision.
Business Math (BUSN 1413)
Course Description: Utilize application and mathematical operations to solve practical business application problems. Including a review of basic mathematics and percentages, discounts, price change calculations, payroll, banking and finance applications. Microsoft Excel will be used and additional topics include installment buying, mortgages, taxes, insurance, analysis of financial statements and inventory costs.
Business Writing 1 (BUSN 1513)
Course Description: Explore the world of business writing and professionalism. Focuses on effective methods of business communication, including various letters, memoranda, resumes, documented researched reports, and oral presentations. Provides instruction on correspondence commonly used in business with emphasis on organization, format, grammar, and diction. The MLA format will be discussed.
Small Business Management (MGMT 1123)
Course Description: Gain insights into the basic theory and underlying principles of management. Emphasis is on the functions of management, planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling. A biblical survey approach to current trends in management and future developments in organization and administration. Prerequisite: BUSN 1113 Introduction to Business
Multimedia and TV Presentations (BUSN 1723)
Course Description: Become familiar with presentation software like MS PowerPoint, Easy Worship, Media Shout, Pro Presenter. Overview video and audio editing software and its multiple uses in the business and church world. Gain perspective in effectively use of cameras, lighting, projectors, sound systems and TV sets.
